Ginger spice - that was my favourite skirt you know

There was a brief couple of hours between finishing work for Christmas and going back again when I wasn't ill with a cough and cold. In that time I managed to make the Colette Ginger skirt. I know everyone has raved about this skirt but I wasn't prepared for quite how perfect it is.
Made from just over a metre of corduroy from East Street Market (£2 a metre) and created in next to no time - this is what we sew for.
It's perfect - the ideal shape for me. I've pretty much worn it non-stop since I made it - it's gone to work, it's gone shopping down Oxford Street, it's gone to the pub (The Roebuck on Great Dover Stret, SE1 if you must know) and it has been perfect for all purposes.
Action shots...
To paraphrase my favourite band, The Wedding Present - That was my favourite skirt you know. If you have no idea what I am talking about look them up now!
Spaceboy - but looking blank

I've been looking at toys again an have almost finished Spaceboy. I've still got to put on his face though.

Christmas leftovers - corduroy and cotton rather than sprouts!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We had a lovely time up in Preston with my in-laws. On Christmas day we went around to my husband's cousin for a great dinner with most of his family. My recently completed Simplicity 3835 did me proud!

I've been doing my Steven Spielburg bit and have edited the video for the Simplicity 3835 tunic dress. There's some dodgy shay camera work in the middle but I think I'm getting better at it - especially since I found a tripod of my husbands from he used to do a bit more photography.
I hope you enjoy it.
Simplicity 3835 is finished!

This was an easy one - but still took me a few hours last night to finish - mainly because I was tired at the end and kept getting the zip wrong. I managed to sew it too far down, backwards and upside down (not all at the same time) - so had to redo it 3 times.

Decisions, decisions - more Simplicity 3835

I'm about half way on the Simplicity 3835 and I still can't decide to keep it all in the blue corduroy or to add some accents of another fabric.
Also I saw this version of a very similar dress on the Japan Coutre Addicts blog - http://japancouture.canalblog.com
