A finish! My first attempt at pattern making

thematerialgirl — Sun, 02/28/2010 - 21:42

A dreadful photo but it does show both the front and back.
I've been doing evening classes for the last seven weeks - fashion draping and intemediate dressmaking at the Cockpit Arts centre. It's been great and I'm finally getting some stuff finished. I have one more class by the end of which I should also have a skirt and a dress.
This top isn't quite as good as it could be - I somehow misjudged the darts so my boobs aren't as fitted as they should be. Our teacher, Lena Santana is amazing - take a look at her website - www.lenasantana.com.

I had to put this photo up as I can't believe how thin I look! It goes to show what a good camera angle can do.
