Project 03 - a simple vest, Kwik Sew 3524

OK, I feel this one is a bit of a cheat for a finished project. It was so easy that it hardley seems fair to write about it.
I've been thinking of making a some vest tops for a while. I love wearing them under tops and jumpers - but I always find that shop bought ones are far too short. My days of showing off my mid-riff are a long way behind me (in fact I'm not sure I ever had any!).
I had read about these vests in Grazia - C&C California - http://www.my-wardrobe.com/c-c-california/navy-classic-tank-by-c-c-california. But over £30 for a vest top - you have got to be having a laff.
A much cheaper option was to rifle through my Kwik Sew pattern collection and pick out Kwik Sew 3524. Vest tops with spaghetti straps with either a round or v-neck and in 2 different lengths. I went for the round neck and the longer length. I had already bought a couple of metres of very thin t-shirt cotton at the stitch show last October.
The vest too no time - I was finished in about 2 hours from opening the pattern to finishing. I did take one shortcut and didn't put in the elastic for the bra-shelf. The vest turned out exactly as I expected (there really wasn't anything that could wrong). However I do have one gripe - the fabric was pretty poor quality and I don't think the seams are going to last on it for very long.
